Our Livingston NJ Dentists take pride in restoring our patients to an ideal dental health. From its earliest onset, decay causes a bacterial invasion of the tooth. This bacteria releases an acid which weakens the structural support of the tooth, causing irreversible damage to the tooth, and may irritate the internal tissues. The decay needs to be removed, and a restoration needs to be placed. Our philosophy is to provide the most structurally sound and cosmetic replacement for your natural teeth.
In our practice, we offer many services for teeth which need restorations. We offer for small areas of decay, a minimally invasive tooth colored restorations. Many of these can be completed with our Drill-less air abrasion technology.
We also offer resin based cosmetic bonding for tooth colored restoration. These restorations are esthetically pleasing and very strong, thanks to new bonding technologies. These materials are used to create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable), but also add strength to weakened teeth.
When the structural integrity of the natural tooth is lost, tooth colored Porcelain Inlays, Onlays and Crowns can be used to protect, strengthen and restore a tooth to health. These restorations are extremely strong, and are able to act similar to tooth structure. In a tooth that has had substantial decay, these restorations are a preferred, conservative, long-lasting replacement of a weakened tooth.
